Fiber-reinforced thermoplastic composites are classified into three types: short glass fiber (SFT), long glass fiber (LFT)and continuous glass fiber (CFT) reinforced composites according to the length of fiber retention. Short glass fiber reinforcement (SFT) cannot adapt to occasions that require high material properties (especially tensile strength).

Continuous fiber reinforcement (PP/CRFT) has higher mechanical properties, but its molding process is complex, low efficiency, and higher cost.

Since the 1940s, GF has been used as a plastic reinforcement material, and GF reinforced thermoplastic resin is widely used in aerospace, electronic communication, automobile lightweight parts manufacturing and other fields due to its excellent mechanical strength, good heat resistance and creep resistance.


Basalt fiber (BasaltFibre, BF) is made of natural basalt ore. After crushing and melting at 1450 ° C ~ 1500 ° C, it is made of platinum-rhodium alloy wire drawing bushing. It has many unique and excellent properties such as heat insulation, moisture-proof, waterproof, fireproof, acid and alkali resistance, heat preservation, sound absorption, good tensile strength, corrosion resistance, long-term use without deterioration and deterioration. Its raw materials are cheap and have certain advantages in the field of reinforcing fibers.


Carbon fiber (Carbon Fibre) is a new generation of reinforced fiber materials. At present, the total production capacity of carbon fiber under construction in China exceeds 50,000 tons. Therefore, the application of carbon fiber in a wider range of industrial fields is the general trend. CF has light weight, high strength and high modulus. Its high performance and high added value can only be achieved by combining with resin to form fiber composites of different lengths.


Nylon (PA) is an important engineering plastic with excellent comprehensive mechanical properties. It has a wide range of applications in electronic appliances, automobiles, aerospace and high-speed rail. The use of carbon fiber reinforcement can further improve its tensile strength, especially long fiber reinforcement. After that, it can reach and exceed the performance of aluminum alloy, so it can be widely used in structural parts and load-bearing parts.


Long glass fiber reinforced composite materials are widely used in automobile, electronics, electricity, communication, machinery, chemical industry, military industry, sports equipment, medical equipment and other fields, especially in the application of special plastics for auto parts and accessories. The development potential is very huge. Some modified plastics enterprises with output of more than 10,000 tons in China have developed or introduced LFT-G technology by themselves, including Guangzhou Kingfa, Shanghai Genius, Pret, Nanjing Julong, etc.
