Advantages of Air Cooling Hot Face Pelletizer

  • The shape of the plastic pellets is cylindrical or drum shape with good shape.

  • The power consumption of the pelletizer is low, the structure is simple, the tool wear is small, and the operation and maintenance are convenient. 

  • The plastic pellets do not need to be dried.


Disadvantages of Air Cooling Hot Face Pelletizer

Adhesion may occur between pellets, and the melt flow rate of the processed material should not be too low.


Water Cooling Strand Pelletizer is used in conjunction with an extruder, mainly for the pelletizing of PA, PE, ABS, PVC, PP, PS and other materials. It can also be used for the granulation of plastic compounding, filling, reinforced mixing and the granulation of non-absorbent color masterbatch. It is composed of a pelletizer head, a cooling water tank, and a cold pelletizer.


Advantages of Underwater Strand Pelletizer

Underwater Strand Pelletizer has the advantages of simple equipment structure, convenient operation and maintenance, neat and beautiful pellet shape, and wide application range.


Disadvantages of Underwater Strand Pelletizer

It has high power consumption, severe tool wear, and is not suitable for occasions that require high insulation of materials, and is not suitable for materials with low water content requirements and high moisture absorption, and low output.


Underwater Pelletizer is usually used in conjunction with an single or twin screw extruder, and is mainly suitable for pelletizing materials such as PE, PP, PS, and PVC. Underwater pelletizing equipment consists of underwater pelletizer head, warm water circulation system, separation system, screening system and other parts.

Disadvantages of Underwater Pelletizer

  • Auxiliary equipment (such as warm water circulation system, pellets dehydration and drying system, etc.) is huge and complex.

  • As the pelletizer head is in contact with warm water, a large amount of heat needs to be consumed in order to maintain the temperature of the machine head during operation.

  • The gap between the rotary cutter and the surface of the porous template is small, which requires high operating conditions. Improper operation will cause template blockage.


Water Ring Pelletizer is suitable for the pelletizing of EVA hot melt, TPU elastomer, cable material and other materials. It consists of a water ring pelletizing head, warm water circulation system, separation system, screening system and other parts.
